About PrestaShop 1.6
The 1.6.x branch of PrestaShop is the legacy branch of PrestaShop, first released as a stable version in March 2014.
It has been superseded by the 1.7 branch with the release of version 1.7.0.0 in November of 2016.
It will still receive maintenance releases until October 2018.
