Uw winkel verzend veel berichten tijdens de registratie en bij het bestelproces. Op deze pagina kunt u configureren hoe deze berichten worden verzonden en welke berichten worden verzonden.

The first section of the page presents you with a list of all the e-mails that were sent from PrestaShop, with the recipient, the template used, the language of the message, the subject of the e-mail and the status of the action.

This is where you decide how your emails are sent and received.
The form has three sets of options:
- Send email to. This is a front-end setting. At the end of the checkout process, a client can leave a message to your staff. You can choose to whom this message will be sent by selecting from the drop-down list.
- Email parameters: how emails are technically sent. Choose among the three. See below for more information.
- Email format: how email are visually sent. Choose among the three. See below for more information.
- Log Emails. Disable if you no longer want to keep track of the emails sent by your shop, as shown in the Email section above.
Technical configuration
Configure PrestaShop to send emails to your customers. We strongly advise you that you consult your web host to determine which settings to use for this feature. The options are:
- Never send e-mails. Keep this setting for testing purpose. Once your shop is public, you should never use this setting.
- Use the PHP mail() function. This option is recommended by default. In the event that this does not work, then use the SMPT option below.
- Set my own SMTP parameters. In this case, a new section appears, with more fields. The information for these fields should be provided by your web host: mail domain name, SMTP server, SMTP user, etc. Make sure to transcribe exactly what your web host provides you with.

The SMTP configuration information can be provided to you either by:
- Your system administrator,
- Your host,
- Your ISP,
- Your e-mail provider.
Your web host can tell you whether or not your username is mandatory, as well as the password information, and the encryption to use.

De eerste sectie van de pagina toont een lijst van alle e-mails die zijn verzonden vanuit PrestaShop, met de ontvanger, het gebruikte sjabloon, de taal van de berichten, het onderwerp van de e-mail en de status van de actie.
Dit is waar u bepaalt hoe uw e-mails worden verzonden en ontvangen.
Dit formulier heeft drie sets aan opties:
- Verzend e-mail naar. Dit is een frontend-instelling. Aan het einde van het afrekenproces kan een klant een bericht achterlaten voor het personeel. U kunt kiezen wie dergelijke berichten mogen ontvangen door deze te selecteren uit de dropdown-lijst.
- E-mailinstellingen: hoe e-mails technisch worden verzonden. Maak een keuze uit de drie opties. Zie hieronder voor meer informatie.
- E-mailformaat: hoe e-mails zichtbaar worden verzonden. Kies één van de drie opties. Zie hieronder voor meer informatie.
- Log Emails. Schakel dit uit als u niet langer de e-mails die worden verzonden door uw webwinkel wilt bijhouden.
Technische configuratie
Configureer PrestaShop om e-mails te versturen naar uw klanten. We adviseren u met klem dat u uw webhost raadpleegt om te achterhalen welke instellingen gebruikt moeten worden. De opties zijn:
- Nooit e-mails versturen. Behoud deze instelling voor testdoeleinden. Zodra uw winkel openbaar is, moet u deze instelling vermijden.
- Gebruik PHPs mail() functie. Deze instelling wordt aanbevolen. Als dit niet werkt, kunt u gaan voor de SMTP-optie hieronder.
- Stel mijn eigen SMTP-parameters in. In dit geval verschijnt er een nieuwe sectie, met meer velden. De informatie voor deze velden hebt u mogelijk ontvangen van uw hostingprovider: mail domeinnaam, SMTP-server, SMTP-gebruiker, etc. Zorg ervoor dat u letterlijk de gegevens van uw hostingprovider overneemt.

Uw webhost kan vertellen of uw gebruikersnaam wel of niet vereist is. Dit geldt mogelijk ook voor het wachtwoord en de eventuele encryptie. Bijvoorbeeld, in het geval van Gmail (de e-mailservice van Google), moet u ongeveer deze informatie invoeren:

Er zijn twee formaten beschikbaar voor e-mails: HTML is great to look at, but might not work everywhere; text is dull to look at, but work everywhere.
You can choose to use only one of the two, or both. Both is the recommended way.
Test your email configuration
Once you have configured your e-mails using one of the two available methods, enter your own e-mail address in this section, then click the "Send an e-mail test" button.
Now check the inbox of the address provided to verify that you indeed have received the test e-mail, in the correct format. If you have not received it, update your configuration with the correct informationziet er mooi uit, maar dit werkt niet overal; tekst ziet er erg saai en lelijk uit, maar werkt overal.
U kunt ervoor kiezen om slechts één van de twee aan te bieden, maar beide wordt aangeraden.
Test uw e-mailconfiguratie
Zodra u uw e-mails hebt geconfigureerd door middel van de twee beschikbare methoden, voert u uw eigen e-mail in, in deze sectie, daarna klikt u op de knop "Stuur een test e-mail".
Controleer met behulp van uw inbox of u daadwerkelijk de e-mail hebt ontvangen, in het juiste formaat. Als u het niet hebt ontvangen, dan werkt u uw configuratie bij met de juiste informatie.
