Configurar y trabajar con los Módulos nativos

This chapter explores the configuration process of all the default modules in En este capítulo se explora el proceso de configuración de todos los módulos por defecto incluidos en PrestaShop 1.6.

There are more than 130 native modules available in 25 sections. Module sections are only displayed if they actually contain at least one module.

Some modules have configuration pages, which give you access to a couple of tools and information pages.

In every configuration page, generic buttons are gathered at the top of the screen:

  • Disable. Deactivates the module while keeping its current settings for later use.
  • Uninstall. Deactivates the module end delete its current settings.
  • Reset. Wipes the module's current settings to set them back to default.
  • Check and update. Checks whether a new version of this module is available (either in the PrestaShop repository or in the Addons online store), and if so, updates the module.
  • Manage hooks. This link is a shortcut to the "Positions" page, from the "Modules" menu. From there, you can change the location of the module's interface on the front-end of your shop, or launch the Live Edit tool. The "Positions" page is configured so that you only the hooks available to the current module are displayed.
  • Back. A link back to the module list.

At the bottom of the screen, the Manage translations selector contains shortcuts to the "Translations" page for installed modules. From there, you can update the module's translation for the selected language. For instance, you might want to change the wording in order to better fit your use.

Some modules will not be installed from files on your server, but downloaded from the Addons website. It helps ensure that you always have the latest version of a module.

The "Must have" modules are also from the Addons website, but are not freely available. They are not listed in this chapter.

Algunos módulos tienen páginas de configuración, la cual le da acceso a ciertas herramientas y páginas informativas.

En las páginas de configuración, encontrará los siguientes botones genéricos situados en la parte superior de la pantalla:

  • Desactivar. Desactiva el módulo, manteniendo su configuración actual por si decidiera volver a utilizarlo posteriormente.
  • Desinstalar. Desactiva el módulo borrando su configuración actual.
  • Reiniciar. Resetea la configuración actual del módulo para configurarlo de nuevo con su configuración inicial predeterminada.
  • Comprobar actualizaciones. Comprueba si una nueva versión de este módulo está disponible (ya sea en el repositorio PrestaShop o en el mercado de Complementos (Addons)), y si es así, se actualizaría el módulo automáticamente.
  • Configurar los hooks. Este enlace es un acceso directo a la página de "Posiciones", del menú "Módulos". Desde allí, puede cambiar la ubicación del módulo en la interfaz del front-end de su tienda, o ejecutar la herramienta Live Edit. La página "Posiciones" es configurada para que tan sólo se muestren los ganchos disponibles para el módulo actual.
  • Atrás. Un enlace para regresar al listado de módulos.

En la parte inferior de la pantalla, el selector Traducir contiene un acceso directo a la página "Traducciones" de los módulos instalados. Desde allí, puede actualizar la traducción del módulo para el idioma seleccionado. Por ejemplo, podría utilizar esta opción si quisiera cambiar la redacción del texto del módulo para que se ajuste mejor al uso que le da en su tienda .

Algunos módulos no serán instalados a partir de archivos existentes en su servidor, sino descargados desde el sitio web PrestaShop Addons. Esto le ayuda a tener siempre instalada la última versión de un módulo.

Los módulos denominados como "Populares" también provienen del sitio web PrestaShop Addons, pero no son gratuitos. Por ello, no figuran en este capítulo.
